Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant provides independent review and final approval for complex tax engagements and reinforces firm standards across returns and workpapers.

Primary focus is tax review, with selective audit exposure where experience and firm requirements make that appropriate.

Own final technical review and release decisions for complex tax engagements.

Work directly with firm leadership on standards, judgment calls, and risk management.

Tax-focused scope with selective cross-practice exposure where it supports firm needs and professional development.

• Review individual and business tax returns for technical accuracy and completeness.
• Provide final approval and release of assigned returns in line with firm standards.
• Work closely with firm leadership on technical review and final release decisions.
• Provide technical guidance to staff accountants and resolve complex tax issues.
• Identify risk areas and improvement opportunities prior to filing.
• Support engagements involving multi-entity structures and planning considerations.
• Contribute to standardization of review procedures and documentation quality.

• CPA designation preferred; active progress toward licensure expected.
• Strong experience with individual and business tax returns.
• Prior review experience strongly preferred.
• Sound technical judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and directly.

Review decisions are consistent and defensible, with minimal rework and clean documentation. Complex returns are resolved with clear technical rationale and communicated with clarity.
