Core responsibilities
- Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through issuance.
- Establish timelines, assign work, and monitor progress against engagement milestones.
- Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards.
- Coach staff, reinforce documentation quality, and maintain review-ready files that meet inspection standards.
- Manage client communication, status updates, and deliverable expectations throughout the engagement.
- Identify risks early and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide seasonal tax review and preparation coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience leading audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Demonstrated engagement leadership and supervisory accountability.
- Clear, professional client communication.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.
- Sound professional judgment, attention to detail, and accountability for deliverables.
